The Disrespected Undercard
Support Courage For Democracy Candidates
I feel excited and empowered for the first time since that disgusting pedophile, rapist, and murderer was allegedly reinstalled in the Oval office. I should call it the offal office since that putrid gas bag moved in. But enough about him.
Today, the dynamic and progressive team of Will Fullwood and Walter Rhein invited Oregon gubernatorial candidate Brittany Jones to their podcast. All three speakers were positive, life-affirming, and joyful. If you missed them talking together I encourage you to look on Will's Substack page or Walter’s to get a powerful idea of how bright our futures can be when we are allow our authentic selves to connect with other real human beings.
Readers of The Disrespected Undercard know how cynical and suspicious I can be. But Will, Walter, and Candidate Jones communicated integrity, honesty, courage to speak the truth, and character qualities we demand, but never get, from our so-called “political leaders.” Listening in on their conversations felt like breathing fresh air after a long dry-spell. Clean and refreshingly hopefull with a chance that something new and miraculous could really happen.
Real humans doing right now the real work that needed to be done 30 years ago until Neoliberalism shoved us aside. It is so refreshing to hear people being real for a change. I am so enthusiastic about the comprehensive way Candidate Jones presented herself. She talked about so many of my values, it was amazing. Honesty, integrity, support for women's rights to bodily autonomy and comprehensive, affordable healthcare. Supporting the LGBTQ+ community with actual inclusion, instead of tokenism. Affirming the need to end the oppression and exploitation of colonial extraction through the centuries-old murder schemes we call patriarchy and racial empire logic used by generations of ruling elites. Ending corporate subsidies and tax-abatement schemes masquerading as “job creation” while pitting communities and workers against each other. Seeing through the divisive tactics forced on all of us by big business, the political parties, and the corporate-owned media. They also agreed that hoarding money and using a “political career” as a launching pad to self-enrichment is wrong and should have been banned a long time ago. The need to weed out antisocial killers from law enforcement agencies in every state and at every level. Finally holding every layer of government accountable to the people rather than serving as agents to benefit oligarchy and financial capture se now know as the Epstein Class. When I say their discussions were comprehensive and wide ranging, I'm not kidding.
Ms. Jones discussed the website: https//couragefordemocracy.com as the place to go for voters interested in supporting a network of over 100 progressive candidates who agree on issues vital to us all such as ending the paternalism and racial empire logic that keep us locked into an oppressive and exploitative system that neglects our real needs. Please check it out if you feel inclined. Thanks for reading. And thanks again to Will Fullwood and Walter Rhein for helping me feel real hope again for the first time in 18 months.
